Hello
I'm Claire, I work as Client Services Librarian for Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education; check out their website if you have no idea who or what we are: www.batchelor.edu.au. Sorry you'll have to cut and paste the URL as we aren't meant to link to external sites.
I'm particularly interested in how Web 2.0 tools are being used in an innovative way for information skills delivery and development. I have a fairly broad understanding of some of the digital tools but know absolutely zilch about others.  Hopefully I'll be able to focus on fine tuning my areas of strength and discover new skills and new ideas to move forward with.
I look forward to working with you all.
Claire

  1. Hi Claire,
Welcome to the online buddy group :) Just wondering if you could please share with us your motivations behind pursuing studies in IM? Do you wish to remain working within Library environments?

    1. Hello Eva
I wrote a great big reply and then didn't publish it so here I go again!
I have a passion for the power that information affords people, not the I'll rule the world power although that is possible too but the power to do and be what you want because you have the skills and the abilities to recognise and use quality and timely information.
Libraries do that of course but IM provides an opportunity for me to spread my wings a little if I want to!

  2. Hi Claire,
Welcome aboard! Your work place sounds interesting - could you perhaps tell us more about your role?
I hope Doc Man helps you strengthen your knowledge - I think it's going to be good for all of us to get to know 2.0 in more depth.
Looking forward to reading your blog :)
